God gave prophecies to Ezekiel in three ways: (1) illustrated sermons, (2) direct predictions, and (3) visions. Ezekiel saw glimpses of the glory and power of God through visions of four-faced creatures called cherubim. The front face was like a man, the right side like a lion, the left side like an ox and the back like an eagle. In Matthew, Jesus is the Lion of Judah. In Mark, Jesus is the Servant (the Ox). In Luke, Jesus is the son of man. In John, Jesus is God (the eagle in the heavenlies). Gaze with Ezekiel as he sees wheels within wheels, skeletons coming to life, fiery whirlwinds, the Glory of God departing the Temple, and ahead in time to the seven years of the Great Tribulation.
