I & II Kings
The Book of Kings serves as warning to all believers. Whenever we disobey God, we will pay a high price in our homes and personal lives. When the nation of Israel turned from the law, it was divided, conquered and taken captivity. Sin has consequences! The northern kingdom had ten tribes and the southern kingdom of Judah and two tribes. As we trace the lives of the kings, we see indicators for potential failure in our life. But even during the dark time when the nation was divided, God was never short of miracles. The study of Kings teaches us to avoid the pain of sin. God wants us to live in his peace and joy. True peace and joy belong to those who will obey Him.
